Этот гормон синтезируется в передней доле гипофиза и необходим для нормальной работы репродуктивной системы. В женском организме лютеинизирующий гормон контролирует вторую половину менструального цикла, в частности – запускает процесс овуляции.
Лютеинизирующий гормон – действие
Первой половиной цикла управляет гормон ФСГ, его пиковое значение в паре со скачком ЛГ запускает овуляцию, в ходе которой яйцеклетка выходит из яичника в маточную трубу. Кроме того, на фоне высокого уровня этого гормона стартует процесс превращения остаточного фолликула (из которого и вышла яйцеклетка) в желтое тело. Это временная железа, которая призвана вырабатывать прогестерон для подготовки эндометрия к имплантации и поддержки беременности на ранних сроках.
К слову, именно определение уровня ЛГ, правда не в крови, а в моче, и лежит в основе популярных домашних тестов на овуляцию. Чем ярче полоска на тесте, тем больше в организме гормона и тем ближе овуляция.
Лютеинизирующий гормон – функции
Мы уже говорили, что одна из главных ролей ЛГ в организме женщин – запуск овуляции, в процессе которой яйцеклетка выходит из яичника и запускается процесс лютеинизации (превращение остаточного фолликула в желтое тело). ЛГ поддерживает желтое тело на протяжении 14 дней. Еще она функция этого гормона состоит в том, чтобы стимулировать особые клетки в яичниках, которые продуцируют андрогены и предшественники эстрадиола.
В организме мужчин ЛГ влияет на клетки яичек, которые отвечают за выработку тестостерона.
